Cleaning EDGE CO-Vid19 Health & Safety Policy

Policy brief purpose

Cleaning EDGE is committed to take the necessary measures to do and part on helping getting back to“normal”; that is why we are effectively implementing the Cleaning EDGE CO-Vid19 Health & Safety Policy.

This policy aims to actively mitigate the spread of the Co-Vid19, by defining the guidelines and actions we are actively taking to ensure the safety of our employees, customers and overall community, while maintaining a health and safe workplace.

To whom does this apply?

This policy applies to all of our personnel that works on a physical location, disregarding of the division of service (Home, Auto, Commercial), as well as for those in management.

What are we doing?

General

• Screening questions will be performed to each member of the personnel on a by-weekly period(14 days).
• If you have a positive COVID-19 diagnosis, you can return to the office only after you’ve fully recovered, with a doctor’s note confirming your recovery.
• If a member of the personnel has/will travel abroad, no work-shifts will be offered to said individual for a period of 14 days from the date of the return.
• Personnel will follow basic General Hygiene rules including but not limited to:
• Wash your hands after using the toilet, before eating, and if you cough/sneeze into your hands (follow the 20-second hand-washing rule). You can also use the sanitizers you’ll find around the office.
• Cough/sneeze into your sleeve, preferably into your elbow. If you use a tissue, discard it properly and clean/sanitize your hands immediately.
• Open the windows regularly to ensure open ventilation. 
• Avoid touching your face, particularly eyes, nose, and mouth with your hands to prevent from getting infected.

Home specific

• Basic screening questions will be asked to customers at either when the appointment is booked, and, before commencing any service.
• Workers will be screened and temperature will be taken prior a service to reduce the risk of spread.
• All working equipment will be sanitized in accordance with the Ontario Ministry of Health sanitization guidelines.
• Service logs will be kept in order to accurately track spread in case of infection.
• All personnel will wear a N95, or surgical mask equivalent for the duration of the service; same for protective gloves.
• Social distancing will be kept at all times while interacting with customers.
• All services now include germ sanitizer in the range of products.

Automotive specific

Automotive specific services will include all the guidelines from Home services with the following exceptions:

• Personnel will only be required to wear a mask when interacting with customers.
• Interior vehicle surfaces will be sanitized before dressing.
• Vehicle keys will be sanitized before being returned to the customer.

Commercial specific

• Workers will be screened and temperature will be taken prior a service to reduce the risk of spread.
• All working equipment will be sanitized in accordance with the Ontario Ministry of Health sanitization guidelines.
• Service logs will be kept in order to accurately track spread in case of infection.

Screening Questions

• Have you travelled outside of Canada or our province in the last 14 days?
• Do you have a fever higher than 38C (100.4F)? Do you have a new cough, or a cough that’s getting worse?
• Have you been in close contact with someone with a confirmed case of COVID-19?
• Have you been in close contact with someone who has travelled and has a fever or a cough?
• Each of these measures are being implemented to ensure that you, our teams and our community stays safe and we continue to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
